Well, it’s March. And my 8 y/o still loves this. Very cool play item...she brings it with her places and occasionally write checks. Helps teach some basic math skills. Really happy with this small purchase.
I bought these for my two young girls to teach them about money management and they totally loved it and it works, just wish you would get more checks and if they will offer the duplicate
Wonderful gift for a 6 year old girl! The lines of the checkbook register and the checks are large enough to accommodate a child's writing but not so large to seem fake. Great tool for teaching your child how to manage their money. We use a chore system for deposits then she writes checks to her pretend "stores."
I got this for my oldest three children ages 11, 8, and 7 as a gift from Santa along with an opening "balance". The children loved the idea of having to write checks and now when they want something they can write their "bankers"(aka Mom and Dad) a check and we will buy it. So they are learning that once it's spent its gone, so are trying to decide should they save or spend. Since they have no actual money its not burning holes in pockets or getting lost. They are actually thinking about diffrent things and when we say get your check book the re-think the decision about wheather they really want it or not. I'm hoping it not only keeps them from "borrowing" from one another but make sure they really want what they buy, so it's not stuck in the toy chest within the week.
Would have given more stars but it's to early to tell how this will work in the long run.
Purchased for my nephews to go along with a money set. Wanted them to learn how to make change, the value of money, improve their math skills, learn how to use a debit card, and balance check books. They have really enjoyed playing with these things, to them it's a game, fun, but in reality they have been learning............:-)
We purchased these for our young children ( ages 4 and 8) to start teaching them about balancing a check book, savings, and money management. We don't use the calculator because we are learning to add and subtract manually, but they work fine just for playing around on. Pens work great too! This has been a great tool and we have already recommended them to lots of our friends.
looks a lot like a real check book. she loved it ! good learning tool for kids to learn banking and saving money. granddaughter had to write a check to me and, I gave her money out of her savings bank. she learned to keep track of what she had and spending.
